about

In January 2012, David Fernandes and Jake Marshall decided to start a band. They asked Sergio Rivera to play lead guitar, while David played rhythm and sang. Jake would play bass. In late February/early March, Mike Reisser was added as lead guitar. Sergio became rhythm guitar, and David became only the singer. In April, Vincent Comanda became the drummer, but left to re-join his previous band, Sounds of Closure. When it became clear that it would be harder to find a drummer than a singer, David became the drummer and Divya Yeleswarapu was added as the singer. In August, Sergio left to pursue an acoustic group, Failing Under Assistance. The group performed in Meyersville, NJ as part of Stay Young Production's Showcase #18 on August 25, 2012. Divya had to leave for numerous reasons after the show. Shelby Davis was then contacted and took the role of singer. In October 2012, Brett DeFazio was asked to take the drums, and David resumed his old position as Rhythm guitar, this time singing backing vocals. In November of 2012 Shelby left the band for personal reasons and the group was in trouble. But then someone mentioned that Kelly Lisowski could sing and she was asked to sing. The same day (November 15, 2012), the group changed its name to Erase This Place (not on the Facebook/Twitter pages until November 18, 2012). On the day the Facebook/Twitter pages changed, Will Jackson was also added as the official Keyboards. The band finally began recording their first original in March of 2013. Will Jackson then left the band as well. After the demo of the song, "Typical Break-Up Song," was released and another song was written, Will re-joined in July 2013 as a co-frontman. Jake left the band in August 2013 for personal reasons, leaving Will to take the spot of bassist. The band then wrote more songs and played several shows. On August 15, 2014, the band played its last official show before Will and David went off to college out-of-state. They also released their album, "Dreams Are Never Dead," officially that day as well.
